Interest in Microplastics:

Microplastic (plastics < 5 mm) ingestion has been found in marine animals across trophic levels and at all depths of the ocean, affecting fisheries & marine wildlife.
What are the sources of microplastics – (textile losses, personal care products, pellet losses and tire abrasion) into our marine environment?
What appropriate interventions can reduce the leakage of microplastics into the environment?
What are the impacts of microplastics on marine life and the economic activities that depend on it?
