Interest in Microplastics:

  • 10µm - 5mm Microfibers (MFs)
  • Developing innovative technologies for the accurate quantification & characterization of MFs in marine environments (waters & plankton…)
  • Studying the sources, transport and fate of MFs in the Strait of Georgia (SoG) and its urbanized watershed
  • Investigating biological degradation of MFs in the marine environment
  • Working with predictive modelers to evaluate the ultimate fate of MFs in SoG
