Research Specialization: Marine eco-toxicology; Ocean conservation and pollution; Environmental toxicology and chemistry; Food web bioaccumulation modeling of pollutants

At OPRU, our research envisions the assessment and prediction of ocean pollution and multiple- anthropogenic stressors and impacts (i.e., climate change, fisheries pressure and interactions) on marine fauna and ecosystems, using marine mammals, seabirds, sea turtles and other top predators as sentinels of ocean health (“canaries in the coal mine”).
