Generally interested in management and policy frameworks for contaminants with complex  biogeochemical cycling and long-range transport potential (e.g., persistent organic pollutants,  mercury), hence potentially interested in exploring microplastics as a new area.

Given the biogeochemical cycling behaviour (and relevant exposure pathways) of microplastics, to  what extent can they managed using similar approaches as are used for other contaminants?

What are key MP-related environmental health and safety concerns for stakeholders? To what  extent do existing and proposed management and monitoring strategies address these concerns?
