The UBC Cluster for Microplastics, Health and the Environment is hosting the 1st UBC Microplastics Symposium on Monday, May 8th and Tuesday, May 9th.

The event takes place in the Pharmaceutical Science Building at UBC Vancouver campus.


Four sessions will be hosted during the symposium, featuring talks, each lasting 12 minutes with an additional 3 minutes for discussion.

On Monday afternoon, we have a partner workshop scheduled to facilitate grant writing with potential partners, and on Monday evening, there will be a two-hour poster session followed by a reception with drinks and food. 

Tuesday will be a morning of talks, and in the afternoon we are organizing lab tours.
